Planning
Games here take slightly larger groups than average, and age limits tend to be on the higher side.
Escape games in Utrecht are built for small to medium-sized groups, slightly larger on average than elsewhere in the Netherlands, and several venues are set up for large groups that split across games. With Utrecht Centraal at the heart of the rail network, the city is a practical meeting point for teams and friends travelling in from different towns. Minimum ages here tend to be higher than the national average, as many games are aimed at adults and older teenagers. If you are planning a family outing with younger children, compare the age guidance on the venue profiles and look for venues that explicitly welcome children.

Mostly classic live escape games, plus outdoor games through the city and a VR option.
Utrecht's venues focus almost entirely on classic live escape games, with a few outdoor games that send the group through the city and a VR escape game for groups who want something different. Almost every venue welcomes company teams, and many also cater for families, adult groups and larger parties, with team building, corporate events, catering and gift vouchers among the services on offer. Some games include live actors, which adds to the atmosphere but is worth knowing about if anyone in the group is easily startled.
