About
Prison Escape is an escape-room attraction at Gansstraat 170 in Utrecht. Its English public name directly presents a prison-themed escape-game identity.
The games
1 game to choose from
Prison Escape Utrecht is a three-hour immersive theatre experience inside the former Pieter Baan Centrum, a real prison building. Rather than puzzles or an escape room, you spend an evening as an inmate among more than 25 professional actors playing guards, cunning fellow prisoners and doctors with double agendas, and pursue the one goal of breaking out. More than 15 storylines mean no two escapes play out alike.
The experience
The atmosphere and the groups this venue has in mind.
Atmosphere
Cinematic scenes, plot twists and social interaction rather than lock-and-key: do you trust a fellow prisoner, craft an escape plan together or infiltrate a gang? Every choice has consequences, and over 350,000 inmates have tried to win their freedom. It can be chilly in and around the prison, and you are given overalls to wear.
Who it suits
Adults looking for an immersive night with friends or colleagues, solo up to 125 people at once. The regular edition is in Dutch and for ages 18 and up, with English, thrill-seeker, jailbreaker and exclusive editions on offer.
