About

About VR Experience Amsterdam

Groups put on headsets and move freely through futuristic worlds and nerve-racking challenges that demand teamwork, communication and quick reactions, which makes the games a lively alternative to a standard company outing. UP Events builds complete packages around the VR sessions, combining them with drinks, artisanal pinsa or an extensive barbecue for team-building days, bachelor parties and friends' nights. Birthday parties are catered for as well, and the venue on Tom Schreursweg is easy to reach in the west of the city.

22 games to choose from

VR Experience Amsterdam is a free-roam virtual-reality arena with a catalogue of about two dozen games that last from around 15 minutes to an hour. Only a handful are true escape games, among them Lunarscape: Breakdown on a moon base, the haunted-house horror of Mansion of Death, the puzzle-driven Temple Quest and the eco-adventure Greenium, while the rest range from zombie shooters such as Mission Z and Dark Z to family titles like Kitchen Panic, Kraken Island and The Smurfs: Blueberry Battle. Every game accepts two to six players at once.

The experience

Who VR Experience Amsterdam suits

The atmosphere and the groups this venue has in mind.

Atmosphere

Players walk freely around a spacious arena wearing high-end headsets, with experienced VR hosts guiding each session. Moods range from cooperative family fun to genuinely frightening horror, with Dark Z played in complete darkness inside a crypt.

Who it suits

Groups that want variety: families and kids' parties can pick gentle co-op games, friends and colleagues can mix shooters with escape games, and companies can build a half-day teambuilding programme with food and drinks. It is a good choice for people who enjoy VR more than a classic puzzle room.

Intensity, accessibility, booking and facilities, as the venue lists them.

Intensity

  • Darkness

Horror titles such as Mansion of Death and the survival game Dark Z are intended to scare, and Dark Z is set in total darkness. Shooters and zombie games are action-heavy, while family titles are much gentler.
