About
The Mad Magician takes two to six players, seven by arrangement, for 60 minutes, and The Boss is the second fixed room at the Dordrecht base. For groups of 8 to 20, De Verdwenen Erfenis and Schatten Eiland run as 75-minute group games, while escape chests such as Magicae Denarios can host up to 30 players over 90 minutes, on site or elsewhere. MJ Escape also builds custom and online escape games, organises a duo competition, and runs Het huis van Adriaan Volker at the National Dredging Museum in Sliedrecht.
The games
5 games to choose from
MJ Escape in Dordrecht combines two classic rooms, two competitive group games and a rentable puzzle chest. The Mad Magician, for 16 and up, takes place in the burnt-out theatre of a magician who lost his assistant, and The Boss, for 12 and up, has a failed bank robber having to prove loyalty to the mafia boss, each for two to six players in 60 minutes. De Verdwenen Erfenis and the youth version Schatten Eiland are pirate-treasure hunts in which two to four teams of up to 20 race each other with live scoring, and Kist Magicae Denarios is a heavy Roman chest to play at home.
The experience
The atmosphere and the groups this venue has in mind.
Atmosphere
The rooms are storybook set pieces, from a scorched stage to a gangster's office, while the group games use scoreboards for friendly competition. The Roman puzzle chest adds a historical, educational flavour for ages 8 and up and arrives with a tablet and speaker, with optional live guidance.
Who it suits
Friends and families, children's groups and company or club outings, all at different sizes: the classic rooms for small teams, the pirate games for 8 to 20 players, and the chest for people who want to play at home or at their own venue.
