In November 1934, Wolvega was electrified by news of a revolutionary motor that would run almost without petrol or oil, invented by 22-year-old Johannes Wardenier from Steenwijkerwold and promoted as the basis for a factory employing thousands, yet nobody ever saw it work. Players search his workshop, where parts of the invention remain but key components are missing, and are encouraged to dress in their best 1930s outfit. Herom also offers Beat the Bass, a music-knowledge escape set in the 1980s and 1990s, plus lasergame, cyclekart racing and dozens of activities for family days, friends' outings and company groups in Giethoorn.
