The games
2 games to choose from
Escape Cafe Hilversum has two experiences. Zoltar Spreekt! is a 75-minute escape room for two to five players with a live actor, in which you sneak into a shadowy antique shop, find a Zoltar arcade cabinet enchanted centuries ago and step through into a 15th-century Arabian marketplace to outwit the Sultan's guards. It earned a 2025 Golden Lock Award and a place in Terpeca's world ranking. The Elimination Game is a team challenge for 12 to 36 adults in which teams of three or four compete across five trials and a finale.
The experience
The atmosphere and the groups this venue has in mind.
Atmosphere
The building keeps the nostalgic look of the 1960s and 70s, and the game begins in a friendly bar and cafe where you can store your belongings and gather your team. Zoltar then moves you through several sets, from the antique shop into a vivid desert-market world with an actor in the mix. The tone is mysterious and tense rather than frightening.
Who it suits
Experienced and ambitious escape fans who want a standout room, plus company departments and large groups for The Elimination Game, which blends puzzling and a game show for team building. Players for Zoltar should be 16 or older unless accompanied by an adult.
Good to know
