About
The story follows Balthazar Parnassius, an adventurer who travelled from the Himalayas to the Great Barrier Reef and stumbled on a priceless diamond on one of his journeys. After his death he leaves everything to those as resourceful as he was, and teams must pass his test within 60 minutes to claim the inheritance. Played alone, the room suits three to ten players aged 16 and over; in battle mode two teams compete, which makes it popular with larger groups and company outings. Deventer Escape, part of SpelKo, also runs De Vliegende Hollander at its Industrieweg site.

The Kamperstraat branch has two very different games. Globetrotter (60 minutes, three to twenty players, 54 percent success rate) sends you to prove you are as adventurous as the late traveller Balthazar Parnassius, who left a priceless diamond as inheritance; it can be played as a single team or as a head-to-head battle for bigger groups. Plutonium Experiment (75 minutes, two to seven players, 42 percent success rate) drops you into the abandoned Lab-239, where unethical radiation experiments once took place.
