The room was built from the ground up around its story, with hidden passages and atmospheric settings to explore, and each game opens with a short film that introduces the world the team is about to enter. Alchemista takes groups of four to ten friends or colleagues, it is booked at least a week in advance for daytime weekday sessions, and it sits within a science centre whose 4,200 square metres of hands-on technology and science exhibits make for a full day out.
