About
When the national museum of antiquities on the Rapenburg closes its doors, groups of two to six enter for two hours of puzzles, brainteasers and challenges of varying difficulty spread throughout the galleries. Teams choose their own route and pace, and along the way they meet unexpected historical figures who do not belong there and need their help. Drawing on both escape rooms and immersive theatre, the experience is a journey of discovery through the whole museum, suitable for players aged 12 and over, and is also available for company groups.

Museum Escape: A Night at the Museum is a real-life game staged after closing time in Leiden's National Museum of Antiquities. For about two and a half hours you wander the galleries with your own group of two to six, solving puzzles and talking to actors who play historical figures that should not be there. The story: time-tech company Timelabs invites guests to witness the first test of its Timegate, which will pull eight objects from the past into the present.

Part escape room, part theatre: you choose your own route and pace through the real museum at night, and the fun comes as much from the characters and conversations as from the riddles. It is not a race for the fastest time, and the evening ends with a drink in the museum cafe and an email about your results.
