About
The team built its very first children's escape room in the fort in 2014, and the dark corridors, historic details and unexpected spaces have inspired a range of themed games since. Today the line-up includes escape rooms, an escape trail, lasergame for adults in the fort's gangways, a travelling pub quiz and Saboteur van de Stelling, a game named after the defence line the fort belongs to. Located between Zaandam and Alkmaar, close to Amsterdam, the fort is also rented out for children's parties, company outings, teambuilding, meetings and weddings, with drinks, snacks and barbecues arranged on site.
The games
3 games to choose from
Fort Markenbinnen, part of the Stelling van Amsterdam defence line (built 1895-1905), houses two escape rooms for two to eight players each, with up to sixteen playing at once. De Krijgsgevangenis is a 75-minute breakout from a 100 m² prisoner-of-war jail, and Ontmantel de Bom! is a 60-minute high-tech race to defuse a bomb while the fort is under fire. Outside, a 90-minute GPS escape walk (adult and children's versions) tackles the villain Mysterio, and Saboteur van de Stelling is a Wie is de Mol-style deception game for six to forty.
