About
Kampen owes its wealth to its Hanseatic past, and the room's fully nautical set transports players back to that age to uncover who stole cargo during a mutiny aboard one of the Kamper Kogge ships. Names of merchants and other Hanseatic cities fly around as teams open locks, crack codes and discover a larger conspiracy. Up to eight people can play; the monument is not accessible for people with limited mobility, and the game is not suited to children's parties under 13. Kamper Events also organises other group outings, meetings and events in the city.
The games
1 game to choose from
Escaperoom Koornmarktspoort is set in one of Kampen's three surviving medieval city gates. Dressed in a full nautical set with period props, it takes you back to the Hanseatic age to investigate a mutiny aboard a Kampen cog. Names of merchants and fellow Hanseatic towns fly past while you pick locks, crack codes and uncover who stole the goods and what larger plot lies behind it. The operator's second room in the Nieuwe Toren closed permanently on 1 December 2025.

Atmosphere
The room blends heritage and play: you literally step into an old gate tower and into the world of the Hanseatic traders. The decor leans on ships, trading goods and stacked intrigue, which gives the puzzles a strong sense of place.
