About
Gouda's castle once stood by the river IJssel, and one of its best-known residents was Jacoba van Beieren, Countess of Holland, who needed a quick way out in times of conflict, so tunnels were dug beneath it. Teams of two to eight must find those passages and then escape from them, in a game rated medium to hard. The venue has been running since early 2017, hosts team outings and friend groups, and accepts phone bookings for days and times not shown online.
The games
1 game to choose from
Escaperoom in Gouda has been running since early 2017 around one story, The Lost Castle of Gouda. Gouda's old castle, once home to Jacoba of Bavaria, Countess of Holland, burned in 1438 and has vanished, but rumour says secret tunnels run beneath it to the far bank of the IJssel. Your team of two to eight has 60 minutes to find the tunnels and escape. A VR escape game based on La Casa de Papel for up to 30 players was announced as well.
