About
Stepping over the threshold takes players fifty years back in time, as the heirs of market gardener Cornelis Dekker try to safeguard his super seed while the scheming Adriaan is on their heels. Two to seven players have one hour to crack locks, link clues and keep each other sharp, because the room can only be solved together. Unlike most escape rooms, it stands on a working horticultural farm a short drive from Alkmaar and Schagen, so it pairs naturally with the Expeditie Marlequi game or a creative workshop for a half-day outing.
The games
1 game to choose from
On the grounds of Tuinderij De Marlequi in Warmenhuizen, the Marlequi Mysterie sends two to seven players fifty years back in time. The heirs of market gardener Cornelis Dekker must keep a revolutionary super-seed from the wrong hands while Adriaan is on their heels. You have one hour to crack locks, link clues and keep each other sharp, because the only way out is together.
The experience
The atmosphere and the groups this venue has in mind.
Atmosphere
Unusually rural for an escape room: instead of a city basement, the game sits on a farm yard among the greenhouses, with a story rooted in the horticulture of the area.
Who it suits
Groups, family days and company outings who want to build a half-day programme around the escape room, Expeditie Marlequi or a creative workshop.
